The mission of Slide Ranch is to connect children to nature. By farming, cooking, caring for animals and exploring wilderness and coast, we teach people of all ages to see the connection between their own health, a nutritious food system and a sustainable environment. Spring Fling is our largest community event of the year, bringing about 800 people together around environmental education, health and sustainable farming. Demographics Slide Ranch welcomes over 10,000 visitors per year from all over the Bay Area. Annually we serve over 100 different schools and community groups with special focus on Title I schools and low income communities, providing 80% of scholarships for day trips and 90% for overnight visits. Event Objectives Fundraiser to generate funds for our scholarship programs and the sustainability of Slide Ranch.: Educating the community about climate and environmental sustainability through animal encounters, nature exploration and farm discovery, hands-on workshops, gardening, guided hikes and more. Long-term partnership with organizations with shared values Every Dollar Counts Every $25 donated feeds Slide Ranch goats and chickens for one week. Every $150 donated allows 2 at-risk youth to attend Slide Ranch for free. Every $800 donated provides bus transportation for a school to attend a field trip at Slide Ranch.
