From small town Standard, AB to Nashville; from main stage Big Valley Jamboree to being awarded the 2015 ACMA Male Artist of the Year, Drew Gregory adds another chapter to his career with the release of his new EP “I Was There”.
It was a night of accolades and milestones as the Association of Country Music in Alberta handed out the 2015 Alberta Country Music Awards at their annual award show in Red Deer. Gregory, a three-time ACMA nominee, was excited by his win. “It is such an honour” says Gregory”, to be named ACMA Male Artist of the Year!
Drew’s sophomore album “The Way I Was Raised” was kick started with the single “Truck. Beer. Girl” dropping to radio in February 2013. Drew’s prolific penmanship shone through on six of the twelve songs with a host of respected writers penning the remaining six songs. The release of the title track “The Way I Was Raised” harvested charting numbers at Canadian radio, and the video is being played on CMT.
Despite a burgeoning career, Gregory remains firmly rooted in the community he was raised in. He remains an active member of the local Ag Society, local hockey and baseball team, and continues to assist on the family farm. With the birth of his son, Ty in 2016, Drew states “Hearing him cry for the first time gave me a whole new view of the world. He has already made me want to be the best I can possibly be at everything I do…. especially being a dad.” With new meaning to “The Way I Was Raised”, a new son, and a new EP, the future looks bright for Drew Gregory..

Renegade is defined as a person who deserts a party or cause for another. While the new band Renegade Station is not deserting their unique brand of country, they are moving on in a new direction. With a sound forged during a successful career as “Domino”, Renegade Station moves forward with a new sound, an edge that can truly be synonymous with the term “renegade”. The band feels the name reflects on what you can expect to hear from them in the future. Their sound will see no borders, simply the hybrid of four individuals, all coming from various backgrounds able to blend together to create a unique group with a harmonious sound. Together the band had mastered their harmonies to near perfection, which one might say could be reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, embellished with country flair, and now with an outlaw (another definition of “renegade) edge. With each new single release, Domino was receiving more recognition from both radio and fans.
They were chosen as one of twelve finalists in Project WILD Country, a program designed to develop and launch the careers of some of Alberta’s up and coming country artists.
While some will look at the name change as simply that, the band looks to the re-branding as a step forward in direction, both in their recordings and live performance.
Kent Nixon– Lead guitar and vocals – One will most likely find Kent at rodeos, having BBQ parties (mixes a mean martini) and spending time with family. He also has his sights on getting his pilot’s license!
Scott McKnight– Drummer and vocals – Scott likes playing hockey, cycling and golfing. He loves traveling with his wife Lylas, and hanging out with family. He likes experimenting with different sounds and instruments in his home studio!

Although still playing from time to time in bands, Pat has decided to focus his time and energy on creating original music and adding to his already substantial repertoire. As of October 2017 his repertoire of original music now spans over 78 instrumental songs. The songs range from classical guitar compositions through to rock style arrangements.
In addition to being heard on numerous internet radio stations, his music can be found on all major music sharing sites (Fandalism, Reverbnation, Facebook, Youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, Audiomack to name a few). You probably heard some of his music without knowing it if you’ve played online adventure games or have on occasion seen online film productions.
When listening to Pat’s music you will notice his style closely resembles that of Carlos Santana. Pat says he grew up listening and taking apart every record Carlos issued throughout the early 1970’s and 1980’s. Pat indicates; “Carlos’ musical style is ingrained in my musical DNA now.
“Although I have my own unique style of guitar playing, many of my progressions have snippets of Carlos’ style thrown in. When you learn to play like your guitar hero early on in your life its very difficult to move away from it as you get older.” says Pat
Its always there in voice or technique throughout your original guitar compositions” Pat’s other major influences include Eric Clapton, Gary Moore and David Gilmour. His main influences on the classical guitar side are Matteo Carcassi and Fernando Sor.
So what’s next for Pat? He plans to continue to focus on bringing his original music to audiences around the world. Pat says that music is the international language that touches the mind and the soul. No better way to bring people together than with sharing and enjoying music together!

Country Music Hall of Famer, Ed was born Edward Gary Holcombe in 1945 to the Reverend Earl Forrest Holcombe and Maybell Kathrine Dean Holcombe at the John Gaston Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ed Gary, as country music fans came to know him, grew up around music as Memphis was a melting pot for music genres like Gospel, Rockabilly, Blues and Country. and with both sides of his family being blessed with singers and musicians. In addition, both his father and mother were gospel singers, so it came natural for Ed to find the interest to be a singer and musician.
Ed first sang in his father’s church at the age of three. He learned to play guitar by the time he was nine years old. And shortly after that, he was being heard on a weekly radio show when he was just ten!
To date he has had 18 # 1’s on indie charts world wide
Ed now lives in Glendale, Arizona, which is a suburb of Phoenix. Ed is still singing and playing bass in his four piece band plus being booked as a single and duo shows.
Over the years he has been blessed to work with some of the biggest and best names in the music business. In early years he was a front man for many big acts and later as opening act for package shows. He was also the headliner of his own shows.
To name a few he has roused the crowds for: Ernest Tubb, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, David Houston, Ronnie Milsap, Mac Wiseman, Bill Anderson, Roy Acuff, Little Jimmy Dickens, Hank Snow, Tanya Tucker, Barbara Mandrell. and many more.
Terry Jennings is CEO and founder of Korban Music Group, LLC. Jennings was introduced to the music business at an early age through his work as production manager for his father, West Texas Legend Waylon Jennings.
His combination autobiography and memoir, Waylon Tales of My Outlaw Dad (Hachette, 2016), was praised by Willie Nelson “a terrific tribute, from a son to his father”.
Born when Waylon was only nineteen, Terry came of age just as Waylon’s career hit the stratosphere with hits like “I’ve Always Been Crazy” and “Good Hearted Woman,” one of his famous Willie Nelson duets.
Terry dropped out of high school at the age of 15 and joined his dad on tour, and the two became more like brothers than father and son.
On the road, they toured with legends like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Jessi Colter, Waylon’s fourth and final wife and many more legendary entertainers.
Together father and son led a hard-partying lifestyle centered around music, women, and drugs.
Waylon’s success—critical acclaim, bestselling albums, sold-out tours, and even TV stardom on The Dukes of Hazzard—was at times eclipsed by his demons, three divorces, crippling debt, and a depression that Terry traces to the premature death of Buddy Holly. (Waylon was supposed to be on Holly and Ritchie Valens’s doomed flight.)
Through it all, Terry worked on the touring crew, helped manage Waylon’s career, and became one of his father’s closest confidantes.
Debunking myths and sharing incredible never-before-told stories, this book is a son’s loving and strikingly honest portrait of his father, “the greatest Outlaw country musician to grace this earth” and an unlikely but devoted family man. Waylon: Tales of My Outlaw Dad will resonate for generations of fans.
Forget the books by wannabe outsiders and biographies with agendas – this one let’s you hear the music, feel the road, get your parts a little dirty and…walk away with a whole lot of Texas on ya!
