How’s The Market?
Average Sold Price : The average sold price of a property. Price Per Square Foot : The average sold price per square foot. Average Days on Market : An average of a property’s cumulative days on the market prior to its sale. Number of Sales : Total number of residential home sales.
All reporting is based on sales data for Residential, Detached Single Family properties except where noted.. All information is deemed to be reliable, but is not guaranteed.
Hot. And we don’t just mean the weather. We’re seeing a continuation of growth across the Gulf Coast. Homes are being bought and sold in record numbers. Residences are selling quickly, many times they’re selling before they’ve even hit the market. And all area properties are selling closer to their list price, which makes for happy sellers. But what does that really mean? It means that demand for housing is high and there are limited homes to meet the demand. This quarter’s data also shows us that many buyers are preferring to build their dream home rather than wait for it. In certain areas, such as parts of Bay and Gulf Counties, we’ve seen an increase of ‘fixer-upper’ properties as a result of last year’s storm. Price points are very competitive and properties are moving fast - even when they require imagination, renovation and the financial strength to bring their buyers’ vision to life.
