Nantucket Lighthouse School is committed to making its program available to as many families as possible. We understand and appreciate that making the decision to send your child to an independent private school like Nantucket Lighthouse School can be a financial stretch. We are committed to assisting families with the cost of tuition. This financial aid program has been developed by the Nantucket Lighthouse School Board of Trustees. The Financial Aid Committee reviews all applications and makes award decisions. All information in the financial aid application process is kept confidential. For more information, please visit our website or contact our Business Manager at 508.228.0427.
In 2015, Nantucket Lighthouse School launched the Head, Heart and Hand Scholarship Fund to provide additional financial support when there is demonstrated need and the typical financial aid award is simply not enough.
This fund serves our current families and aims to make a Nantucket Lighthouse School education a possibility for as many children in the community as we can accommodate regardless of their financial situation.

Our naturally integrated curriculum imaginatively engages children in developmentally appropriate academics while also developing some of their more subtle sensibilities. Structured math lessons are equally important as daily Thankfulness, scientific experiments and crafting for Nantucket Lighthouse School’s Yuletide Fair, and writing workshop as offering gestures of Peace to shopkeepers each September. The creative development of necessary academic skills, along with these non-cognitive abilities, is the work of our incredibly talented teachers.
As a result, our students are thoughtful and engaged; respectful of themselves and the world around them; and courageous and confident enough to take risks, confront difficult situations, and creatively puzzle through life’s inevitable challenges.
While Nantucket Lighthouse School has grown and now includes two campuses, one at Rugged Road and one at the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club, we remain firmly committed to our founding ideals and to maintaining a small, child-centered program that is dedicated to developing the whole person - head, heart, and hand.
EXTEnDED DAY PROGRAM

2:30 - 5:10 pm (for children ages 3* and older)
