My Memoirs, Mostly for Me
Sometimes for you
When I was 11 years old, I won a ride in a hot air balloon over the Grand Teton mountain range. It was one of those radio contests, where the 7th caller wins. I called over and over until BOOM! I was the lucky number 7. The flight was to take place on the 4th of July in Driggs, Idaho, during a hot air balloon festival. I was incredibly excited. I was born in Driggs and raised on my family’s homestead in a tiny town called Felt. I have always felt a deep connection to Teton Valley. It is my first home, after all.
Though my family was very short on extra money, my mom took me shopping for a cute new top to wear. I remember it so clearly, a short sleeve button up in a purple metallic fabric with black polka dots with a velvety feel. She really wanted to be sure that I looked good and felt good. The morning of the event, we got out of bed at 4:30 in the morning to get ready to go, as I had to report to the balloon at 6:00 AM! Our plan was to attend the balloon festival, then go to the parade, rodeo and all of the other 4th of July festivities in town.
During the car ride, I started to worry. That signature tummy ache started that I had constantly as a kid. My parents assured me that I would be safe and have fun, that all was well. When we arrived at the balloon launch site, I was ushered away with 3 adults who had also won rides. My fear dissolved into excitement as I watched the balloon fill with hot air.
The balloon pilot ran down a list of safety instructions and strapped a helmet to my head. I was really unhappy about that, because I had worked so hard to make sure my hair looked cute. I had on my cute new top, levi shorts and my hair had been carefully curled. That ugly white helped didn’t match my look at all!
Soon it was time to take off. I was instructed to sit on the floor of the basket until we were launched. It was a strange sensation, that of lifting off of the ground and floating into the air. Finally, I was able to stand. I was barely taller than the top of the basket, but I could see enough. Teton Valley was spread out below us in all of her wonder. The Teton Mountains, the farms, the Teton River, all of it, so beautiful and green. I took it all in, feeling like the luckiest kid on earth. A felt a bit guilty too, that I was having this amazing experience but my family was not. At one point, we passed directly over the cemetery that my baby brother Ricky was buried in. I couldn’t wait to tell my mom.
After an hour or so, it was time to come back to earth. Again, I was instructed to sit. This time, the adults sat too. The pilot warned us that the basket may fall onto its side a few times, as it skips across the land to a stop. The basket did lay down twice before we landed. A pilot car was waiting to take us back to the launch site to reunite with our families. I was feeling a bit queasy and glad to be back on land.
When we returned to the launch site, I was so happy to see my family. While it was an incredible experience, I was glad to be away from these strangers and back with my family. Not so fast though, the balloon people exclaimed! Now that we were official hot air balloon riders, we had to be initiated into the club. They poured 3 dixie cups of champagne and one of OJ, for me. We were instructed to kneel in front of the cups in a row and pick the cups up with our mouths and drink. While our heads were down, the pilot poured an entire bottle of champagne over our heads.
I was horrified. My cute new shirt was drenched. My hair was ruined. I reeked of alcohol, something that was forbidden in my religion of birth. Much to the dismay of the pilot, who thought he was doing something fun, I burst into tears and ran into my dad’s arms. He apologized to my perplexed parents, suddenly realizing that pouring a bottle of champagne of a kid’s head was probably a stupid thing to do. We were supposed to spend the whole day having fun, and now I was a wet, sobbing mess.
My mom got me to the car, stripped the soaked shirt off, and put my sister’s jacket on me. We quickly drove to my grandparents farm where I showered and washed my hair as my mom washed my clothes in the sink and got them as dry as possible in the short amount of time we had. My grandma had no hair brush or curling iron, so I had to settle with combing out my hair. I can remember being so angry about my hair getting messed up like that. I may have been a little vain. We raced back into town just in time to catch the parade and enjoy the rest of the day.
For years, whenever I thought about my hot air balloon adventure, all I could remember was feeling humiliated and violated by the champagne incident. I allowed that memory to overshadow all of the wonder of the day. Finally, I chose to sit with that experience and feel all of it. I was finally ready to release the negative parts and allow the rest to come through. After all I am a fully initiated hot air balloon rider!
Releasing the Grip of Emotional Pain
Humans experience many types of pain, most of them physical. The good thing about physical pain is that most of the time it is possible to find the source of the pain and resolve it. There is a visible, tangible element to physical pain that makes it seem more real, and manageable. Emotional pain is another story, however.
When you feel the pain of disappointment, where is it located? What does it look like? Can it be soothed with a salve or an aspirin? These are great questions, with no answers.
Chronic emotional pain is an epidemic of gargantuan capacity in the human race. When you say hello to someone with a cast on their arm in the grocery store, you can immediately empathize with their pain. You may nod, smile knowingly or even ask how it happened. This is validating to the person in pain, they feel seen and understood. When you say hello to someone with crushing grief, you have no idea that their smile is forced, and their inside feelings do not match their outside expressions. No acknowledges their pain, which results if feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Emotional pain is lonely and constantly questioned and minimized. How do we prove emotional pain? There is no proof, only a person’s self report, which is regularly questioned. This adds to emotional pain, which encourages people in pain to isolate and keep their pain to themselves.
Solving emotional pain is complex and takes time. Each of us experiences emotional pain in a different way. Here are a few steps that will point you in the right direction.
-Emotional pain does exist in the body, it isn’t as obvious as physical pain, but you can find it. When you are feeling emotional pain, sit quietly and find the pain. It may be in your heart, your stomach or your head. It could be in multiple parts of your body. Finding it can help you to relive it, it also shows you that your pain is real.
-Emotions are energy, and that energy is meant to be expended. Expressing how you feel in the moment burns off the energy of the emotion, releasing you from it. Holding emotions inside and not expressing them prolongs the pain. Over time, if you avoid expressing emotions, they build up inside of you, causing pain. Stuffing emotions is literally poisoning you from the inside out.
-There is a significant connection between emotional pain and how we think. If you tend to ruminate, going over an experience again and again in your mind, you will experience more emotional pain. You have unintentionally created a habit in your thinking to recreate a painful circumstance on a loop.
-Emotional pain needs to be expressed in order to heal it. Finding someone you can trust to share your pain with is key. Recovering from long term emotional pain takes support and assistance. Recovery is possible.
-Recovery from emotional pain is more successful if the energy that has built up inside of you if released. Accessing good quality vibrational healing is a key element to chronic pain recovery.
The bottom line is that recovery from long term emotional pain is possible. Being in pain for a long time can cause you to lose hope that you will ever find relief. When you allow yourself to release what you are carrying and express your pent up emotions the future looks much brighter.

Connections to Self (Part 1)
You have often heard me speak of following your journey; or traveling your Long Road which is yours alone. Your Road can intersect with someone else’s or run parallel to another for different lengths of time. This road can have most probably forks within it at any point where you are given a choice to make and/or a new direction to take. You may even see at times some of the different roads you travel simultaneously or roads traveled in past incarnations.
In the current world that we all presently share it can get quite chaotic, noisy, and confusing. Searching for different solutions to this you have found a road that although looks differently for each of us and has been called a different name through the ages (the Occult, the Metaphysical, the New Age, etc.). We search for more order within the chaos, more quiet within the noise, and more clarity within the confusion. We explore the many new ideas and theories, sometimes over- analyzing them until all that remains is dust and we then move on to the next new idea or theory.
One word, one idea, one concept has persisted through the ages-Love. ‘Love is all there is.’; ‘Love all that exists’; ‘Love others’; ‘treat others with Love’; treat yourself with Love.’; ‘Love yourself.’ All of this sounds so simple, doesn’t it? But to expand the dimensions of Love, we first must Love ourselves. And this may be the hardest concept to grasp and the most difficult to do.
Like it or not, you cannot jump into loving anything or anyone else without benefitting all parties involved until you truly love yourself. So I ask: “How do you accomplish the practice of loving yourself?”
Think about the real you and be honest with yourself.
Make a list of what you see as your strengths and positive qualities that you like. Think about how you can nurture and improve upon them, growing them into Super Strengths.
Make a list of what qualities you don’t like about yourself. Consider them carefully. Are they actually hidden strengths you just worded as a negative? Example: “I am too sensitive.” May be: “I am a very compassionate person.” Or “I am an empathic person.” If you are being honest with yourself and this is the case, change the wording as you see it and place it on your strengths list.
Think about your items on the list of things you are dissatisfied with and explore ways to do things in order to work on them changing them into strengths.
Appreciate everything you have written about yourself. This is YOU. YOU are unique and you are striving to change YOU for the better.
Celebrate each change you accomplish for an improved you!

Whatever you run from follows you. Turn and embrace what you fear and it loses power over you.
There is a “chase” instinct programmed into many animals including humans. We run from pain, and it follows us. We run from fear, and it chases us. We run from loss and emptiness, and feel a deeper sense of being alone. If we wish to heal we have to stop running.
Stop, turn around, and look at the wounds you have been running from. Look at your fears and see them clearly for what they are; illusions. Our fears are remnants of our past, empty echoes from the ways we learned to fit into our family. We are not being chased by powerful demons. We are being chased by hollow memories.
Temporarily running away from issues can actually, at times, be a great coping technique. But not when we are fleeing from imagined demons. Stop and look at your fears. Are they real or illusions? If they are real, stand tall and walk, or run, proudly toward your dreams. Choose to leave true emotional or physical danger behind. But if they are illusions, laugh at them and watch them disappear.

Magic Monday Message
Wherever you go, go with all your heart.
"Trust instinct to the end, even though you can give no reason” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Wow, are you a mind reader?” “How did you do that? “ “How do you know that?”
These are questions I’m asked frequently because I use my intuition on a daily basis. What some folks call a “gut feeling," a “hunch” or “women’s intuition," I call "headquarters". I have friends and family who frequently describe me as someone who “listens to the universe” (wow that's woo-woo) and this ability has served me well in my life in countless ways from keeping myself from getting mugged to finding love.
I grew up in a very emotionally chaotic environment and had a family dynamic that required me to operate on an intuitive level to survive. That’s not the way I’d recommend learning this skill, but is often the way it happens. Intuition is a survival skill. Though we no longer have to cope with hidden dangers jumping out at us from behind bushes in modern life, our intuition knows what’s best for us even when our conscious, thinking mind doesn’t yet understand what’s going on. Due to the fact that this part of our brain (our limbic/reptilian brain) doesn’t get triggered very often, we don’t always recognize it’s messages and therefore tend to ignore them.
Tuning into and using your innate intuitive senses can positively affect your daily life by informing your decision making and relating skills. We make hundreds of choices daily, using most of the senses that we have, and intuition is just one of them.
One term I’ve heard used for the intuitive process is “Rapid Cognition.” In his book “Blink” Malcolm Gladwell writes: “I think we are innately suspicious of this kind of rapid cognition. We live in a world that assumes that the quality of a decision is directly related to the time and effort that went into making it. When doctors are faced with a difficult diagnosis, they order more tests, and when we are uncertain about what we hear, we ask for a second opinion. And what do we tell our children? Haste makes waste. Look before you leap. Stop and Think. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We believe that we are always better off gathering as much information as possible and spending as much time as possible in deliberation. We really only trust conscious decision making. But there are moments, particularly in times of stress when haste does not make waste, when our snap judgements and first impressions can offer a much better means of making sense in the world.”
Often times our intuitive sense knows the right answer long before our rational minds do. Our intuition often works faster and provides great hypothetical answers that our rational minds can then research and quantify. In most cases, the answers and ideas that our intuition offers us turn out to be the best options in a given situation. In my experience, I’ve found that the impression that came to mind first was usually the correct and most accurate, even after much deliberation.
The power of our unconscious minds is great, but it can be fallible. The trick to maximizing the benefits of using one’s intuition is to learning when fear is at play and when intuition is at play. We can fine tune, educate, and manage our unconscious reactions. The power of knowing is not a gift given magically to a fortunate few. It is an ability that we can cultivate for ourselves.
What if you could learn and implement this aspect of your mind and use it to your advantage intentionally (and not just by chance)? One of my passions is teaching people about how amazing life can be when we use our intuition consciously, for our benefit.
When you tune into your natural intuition, you will more easily:
Solve problems and make decisions with ease.
Recognize and maximize opportunities.
Connect with friends and loved ones more deeply.
Navigate job interviews, social interactions and dating with more clarity and confidence.
Feel confident and comfortable no matter what life throws at you.
Open up to a world of possibilities
In addition to providing psychic and spiritual guidance to my clients, I teach intuition locally and for the 12Listen family. If you might benefit from learning more about how to use your innate intuitive senses, find me here: https://cftel.click4talk.com/chat/plink/chatgui.php?aid=60558

A week ago I returned home from driving approximately 6100 miles from Virginia to the Southwest and many places in between. I have traveled in the past with friends but this was a solo adventure. In fact, I do this Sacred Pilgrimage once a year. It is my traveling Spirit Quest. I have traveled frequently in my adult life and a major part of my motivation is because I often have Wanderlust! I truly must have some gypsy blood in my lineage for I know if I do not travel I would suffer tremendously.
Mindfulness , to me, is the principle of aligning one's focused attention to experiencing what is occurring only in the present moment. My annual pilgrimage has afforded me more than just a few opportunities to go with the flow, honor my free spirit that is so much a part of me, to accept the unfolding of each journey regardless of my pre-arranged plans, to allow new experiences to further open my heart and mind, and to embrace connections with the land and its inhabitants of places I travel. I have become a mindful traveler and traveling alone helps facilitate that desire and need within my gypsy soul.
The first day of my adventure I always hit the road beaming with excitement and I can drive long distances easily because I am so psyched to be traveling! On this journey my first destination was Hot Springs, Arkansas, a mere 13.5 hour drive. I love this town with its mineral hot springs bathhouses lining Main Street, a gorgeous National Park filled with wise trees and walking trails, and a park located in the middle of town that has steaming, healing thermal waters pouring over beautiful plants and huge rocks. I always put my legs, feet, hands, and arms in that almost boiling water!
I stayed in Hot Springs two days which allowed me to mingle with the locals, connect with the Nature Spirits and natural beauty of the area, enjoy long, leisurely walking meditations, and to practice compassionate non-judgments toward those whose paths crossed mine as we engaged in heartfelt conversations and eye contact. I never know a stranger, and in my intention of mindful traveling I get the pleasure of engaging both with like-hearted kindred spirits as well as very conservative beings very different from who I am. Because I am in no hurry on my adventures, I have the choice which I fully embrace, to be still and simply observe the people and environment around me. It is such a peaceful, Zen way to travel!
My deep connection to nature and my love of humanity may not fit everyone's idea of travel, but then again it might just interest some in trying a different mode of adventures, the Mindful Travel Experience. I have come up with some suggestions , if this appeals to you:
-Create a travel itinerary but be willing to divert from an agenda by adjusting to situations and changes that present themselves. Just chill out.
-Pack minimally. Consider leaving anything at home that you can not bear to part with should items get lost, misplaced, or damaged.
-Talk with people you meet with interest and compassion. Make connections with locals in the place you find yourself. When you open up and take the time to really listen to a stranger you may find out about that secret waterfall, a serene river, or a great hole in the wall restaurant.
-Journal about your experiences and things people say to you. You will then be able to reflect later on Divine Awakenings that occur.
-Travel with an attitude of gratitude instead of an agenda of controlling that things must go a certain way.
- Accept and fit in with the locals without a need to show off your wisdom, great mind, or a need to exert your opinion about how things should be in the town or even in the country.
-Unplug as much as you can from the internet except when posting those glorious pictures . I love to include my friends on social media who travel with me across all adventures!
Mindful Traveling is such a sense of freedom and exhalation from the pressures of daily routines and responsibilities! Let me know how you love it!

Week of July 8 - 14
Well friends, this is definitely a week to be aware of yourself. Keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times. There’s some tension afoot, and some deep stirrings within you that may be hard to contain, including some possible anger. But despite that warning, I think this week we may feel some measure of relief, believe it or not. There’s some closure and catharsis coming. Some validation is possible, especially if you are operating from awareness and not reactivity. Just be in touch with your emotions and your reactions.
July 8 Chiron Retrograde in Aries - Chiron’s orbit is wonky AF so it it retrograde a LOT. The asteroid itself and its placement is more significant than the retrograde or direct motion, in my opinion. However, it is good awareness as a somewhat long term transit. It is In Aries it has been healing your sense of self. This and some other transits are really waking up our inner butterflies. Feel it?
July 8 Venus sextile Uranus - fun and excitement are on the menu.
July 8 Sun quincunx Jupiter - the tendency to go overboard (even in laziness) is possible. Could be a touch of Pollyanna syndrome. But because its transitory, more likely to be just overindulgence of something.
July 8 Mercury Rx conjunct Mars - things could be a little defensive under this transit.
July 9 Sun opposite Saturn - low energy, resistance against you, limitation, frustration.
July 11 Sun trine Neptune - empathy volume UP
July 11 Mars square Uranus - disruptive urge to break free or to act impulsively
July 14 Sun opposite Pluto - egoic expression.
July is bound and determined to align your chakras. Your root will be a prominent focus, but so will your heart. The eclipses on the Cancer/Capricorn axis will emphasize issues of security, family, emotional ties, as well as how you use that foundation to launch yourself onto the world stage.
Mercury will retrograde almost all month, first in Leo, and then backing into Cancer. Issues around communication with authority, security, home and family, emotions, and expression are all up for grabs. What do you really need to feel secure? That is the question that Mercury will ask.
Venus is also active this month, but she feels like she’s on simmer. Things do feel a bit emotionally complicated at times this month, but the payoff feels big. I think you will be dealing with a many sided issue, or several issues around a single thing or person. But it doesn’t feel like “work”, per se. This just feels like the things you do for love. Sure, maybe it is “duty”, but from duty comes honor.
Mercury retrograde is book-ended by TWO new moons! What a fantastic opportunity to get clear! The first new moon, a solar eclipse in Cancer, kicks of the month and sets the stage. Manifest from your heart, from your place of mothering or need for mothering. What do you need to feel nurtured? Claim it! Shortly after that window the Retrograde kicks off. Did you notice the energy on June 26th? Emotions were probably central, and surprising, the means you use for communicating may be “off”, whether that’s your own mental energy or your email, expect some disconnects. That may be our theme for this month.
Mid Month we have the Full Moon and Mercury is at its midpoint around then. Let’s take a deep breath and observe: where am I relative to where I’d like to be? And also, where am I relative to the cocktails. Celebrate (or medicate, hell I don’t judge) somehow during this time. And let’s see what unfolds in the USA. Robert Mueller is set to testify around this time. During a Mercury retrograde in Leo, which represents authority? Hmmmm. Or maybe Mercury will move into Cancer by the time he takes the stand. The USA’s sun sign is Cancer. Will this challenge authority and leadership, or will it challenge our roots?
But now back to our regularly scheduled program. Your Venus is showing. And she’s a little confusing. She’s making some aspects with some fuzzy faced characters so try to stay grounded and don’t let your heart go to drunk Karaoke.
At the same time Mercury goes direct in Leo, we have another New Moon, also in Leo. Your words will have a fresh and clear authority now, even if its only to you. Your feelings and your mouth will have a clearer connection and tada...look at that alignment. Nice Posture!
And back by popular demand: bitchscopes playlists. This is your quintessential summer road trip playlist for July. Enjoy!
And now, what you all came here for…
The first part of this month may feel emotionally awkward for you with too much talk and not enough action. Can we just get on with it? Ummm, sorry no. You’re not exempt from this annoying exam, darling. But you probably need to get grounded. You tend to use physicality to sort of get around (cough cough bypass) those bothersome, itchy, scratchy feelings. But you can use your head (Aries pun) too much and end up ungrounded. Go for a swim, or walk on the beach, or hug a tree. Or eat...you know, that activity you’re often too busy for…
Mercury Rx is going to place some focus on your heart, so when you start to feel uncomfortable, lean into it. I know you’re not going to, but at the end of the month you’ll re-read this and go “OH, that’s the thing…” It’s ok. You’re going to be fine regardless. 2nd half of the month agrees with you much more.
You may find your self doing something foreign to you...being a people pleaser (not in the usual Taurus way, if you catch my drift). Family energy feels strong for you this month, and that is probably what moves you into “I’m a good girl I am” mode. There’s not a thing wrong with this, as long as you do mind your boundaries, which generall you are a bit too good at. Overall this month feels slow and low, like a good roast. And I know you vibe with that. Keep track of details and don’t get too caught up in your feels, friend.
How was your birthday? OK that’s nice, back to work please. Just kidding! I’m sure your birthday was amazing! But you will need to find some focus at the beginning of the month. This early July energy may feel like your not-favorite pair of jeans...too much Cancer energy and not enough Lycra. Mercury retrograde, even though it involves your ruling planet, may not necessarily be a big deal for you. It really depends on where it wanders and with whom. This one honestly doesn’t feel too crazy - for Gemini itself. But there’s many facets to this energy of course. Later in the month you’ll feel more rejuvenated and like your pants fit better.
Hey, how bout that June, eh? Yeah, it was just a lot all the way around. The cosmic bathwater will be much more to your liking this month, and everyone will be in your front yard, just like you like. I feel a joyful energy for you, if not some “love you so much” pangs here and there. Your nurturing light will shine bright this month, and a number of your friends may need it. Yes, bring the cookies. Thank you.
Why the hell is everyone crying? Can we get this subject back on me now? Gawd!
The first part of the month may seem too emotional and dramatic in all the wrong ways for you. But by the end of this month you’ll feel a shift, and some things will fall into place and thank God because you might be having a hard time holding your tongue. Or maybe you won’t hold your tongue, that might be ok too. Sometimes you are the spokesperson and it’s appreciated, trust us. By month’s end, you’ll feel feeling the warmth of your own sun again and noticing the whiners a lot less... You’ll be too busy witht he list the Universe just gave you
You’re doing that serious face again, aren’t you? Well don’t fret, if you can’t find something to obsess about, Mercury will do it for you. Your unconscious mind it going to get tickled, and you know what happens when you get tickled too hard….? That’s right...you pee. So you may indeed pee your cosmic pants a little and then maybe feel embarrassed depending on whose couch that was. But somewhere in that experience you’re going to find the resolve and sense of humor you’d been looking for under the couch cushions. It was within you all along, just hanging out. You’ll be getting in touch with some parts of yourself you’ve been missing. So even if you feel awkward and vulnerable at some point, the outcome will be a bit of a rebirth of yourself.
Is that excitement or nerves? Are you going to laugh, cry, or vomit? Who knows. There’s a lot happening in your inner world that hasn’t made its way to the surface yet. There is some good financial/career news brewing and you may be feeling the energy before you know what it is. Make a concerted effort to communicate clearly this month, especially the beginning of the month. By the end of the month the flow will feel a little more natural and the enery will have settled down a bit. But do take a moment to look at and observe yourself this month, instead of worrying about what everyone else is thinking and feeling.
Vulnerability is not your favorite color. In fact, you’ve burned everything in your closet that even resembles it. However, you may find your self in an itchy, ill-fitting, badly tailored shirt made of vulnerabilty this month when more of you gets revealed than you are comfortable with. I’m not referring to your body being physically revealed, because we know you love that, freaky deaky. We’re talking about feelings and secrets and weaknesses. For some of you, this may take place around career. But regardless the flavor, it is important you sheath your stinger for now. You’ll only sting yourself in the maylay. If you don’t feel confident, fake the hell out of it until the feeling passes.
You probably love summertime. Not only can you frolick and adventure, but your chart sector dealing with philosophy is lit up now too and has been for awhile. So you are really exploring life’s many meanings. This month is all about fun and family for you, and it will leave a lasting imprint on you.
As hard as you work, sometimes you feel weird about the spotlight. It could be because you like to be in control of that energy, or it could be a little fear of success. I realize that sounds like crazy talk to the ever achieving cap. But constant grinding and working is sometimes a distraction from something painful. Perhaps a goal or opportunity you missed. Or something you want but feel you can’t achieve. This month try to pump your brakes and breathe. Allow life to clarify what’s meaningful to you. You will be pleasantly Surprised where you can end up if you let go of control.
You’ve been feeling the heat, but you continue to hang out in the kitchen. Perhaps because you know that there’s still something here to absorb or learn. There is a part of you that will subject yourself to a certain amount of misery or torture or darkness to get to the other side of it. What may take some people years, you can sometimes plow through much faster because you’re stubborn, and apparently made of asbestos. Point is, your cake is almost baked. You will be shining brighter than ever when you figure out how to eat that cake, and you will. Try to keep control of your mouth this month. Observe and respond, don’t react.
It’s time for you to swim back into deeper water and detox. For you, that means withdrawing your energy from some people for awhile. There may be someone whose well intentioned protection of you just begins to feel a bit too heavy. But because you’ve grown accustomed to this person as a sort of shield, you may have started to doubt yourself. You are strong and capable. Take this month to manifest and prove your power to yourself.
SoulCollage® is a creative process based on the use of images, intuition and imagination that taps into your inner wisdom. You make your own collaged cards from images that call to you and then you do some prompted journaling to find out what the card has to say to you or what it means to you. Once you’ve created a few cards, you can also begin to do readings with your cards in a manner similar to a tarot reading. However, it’s important to note that while SoulCollage® has suits like the tarot, the cards do not predict the future and you are doing your own readings. The cards you make are only for you, pieces of yourself.
I have been working with the process for about five years and in April of this year completed facilitator training so that I can now share the process with others. I love everything about SoulCollage®: seeking out images to use, cutting out the images, arranging the collage and then finding out what the card has to say to me.
This week’s SoulCollage® card is a Council card. Council cards are energies that are bigger concepts, thoughts or ideas than us human beings. They can be considered as archetypes. In this case, the card is primarily carrying the energy of the feminine (from my perspective of this card as I look at it today). While I identify myself as a female, feminine energy is much larger as it resides or can reside in each of us however we identify ourselves (female, male, they, etc). I will leave you with the creator of SoulCollage® Seena Frost’s definition of the Council Suit, “the invisible guides, challengers, creators and destroyers, known across time and cultures by many names, yet being somehow universally in the collective unconscious of the human race”.
Here is what this week’s card had to say:
Title of the card: Tickling the feminine
This cards says to me: I am the one who tickles your temples.
I am the one who raises my arms in gratitude of the feminine energies within me. I lift my head to the light streaming in and upon me.
I am the one who shines brightly and seeks to bring balance to the earth and her inhabitants.
I am the one who holds my hands at my heart sharing my love and well wishes for all.
I am the one who thrives in quiet sanctuaries.
Do you have a gift for me? What I have to give you is a moment of peace and serenity. I give you time to slow down, not push, just BE within your sanctuary.
Do you have a message for me today? Take time to go within and dance with the energies you find there.

Here is what Kristi has to say about her
brand new oracle deck:
"Kindred Spirits Energy Oracle has been in my head for a decade. I have spent hundreds of hours writing, thinking, planning, and designing the cards. The artwork is Fractal Art. Fractals are mathematical equations that create geometric forms. They are the closest visual representation to what energy looks like to me. I have been reading energy bodies, energy connections and the energy of situations all my life. Putting what I see into words and images is challenging. English does not have the words to describe what energy looks like in my head. Fractals have helped me express the way I see energy.
Thank you for reading,
have a wonderful week!
