Canyons School District Coaches
Roger Federer has a coach. Rory McIlroy has a coach. Ariana Grande has a coach.
Every teacher in Canyons School District has a coach. Why?
It’s really simple - to help teachers improve their practice to improve student outcomes.
Every school in CSD has an Achievement Coach available to support teachers on becoming their best professional selves. Coaches make time to problem solve behaviors, plan lessons that incorporate lots of the instructional priorities, deliver professional development to groups of teachers, and offer a safe place to express frustrations. Coaches are friends, colleagues, cheerleaders, confidantes, and professional leaders. They have a deep knowledge of content and behavior management, and know best teaching practices. They are there for you. So, be like Roger, Rory, Ariana and many of your colleagues in CSD by taking advantage of your Achievement Coach as the great resource they are. And they are provided free of charge, unlike the coaches for the athletes and entertainers! L. Andstadt
Canyons EdTech Digital Citizenship team participated in the International DigCit Conference held at the Utah Valley Convention Center on November 2 and 3. The conference was packed with great ideas. Leaders in Digital Citizenship instruction shared the importance of helping develop our students into first class citizens as well as digital citizens. CSD hosted an event on Friday, November 3, to educate parents about social media apps our students are using. If you missed the event, find all the information on the Canyons Parent Connections Website.
